Smoked sausage and kraut

Postby OSD » Tue Feb 03, 2009 7:23 pm

A friend of mine stopped by today with a couple big links of his homemade sausage. :D He makes some really good sausage. This was a peppery beef sausage he had smoked. :D It was not a hard sausage, it's a beef version of Polish sausage.

one of the links cut in half

all sliced up

into a pan to start browning the slices

About half way done, I put in some kraut to cook and brown a little with the sausage.

served up with some creamy mashed taters with cracked black pepper.
:D :D

My wife can't stand the sight of kraut, therefore I get it very seldom. Kinda hard for a German boy like myself! Your's looks GREAT! :)
