Twas a staple when I was on Okinawa, only there it was chipped beef instead of burger. Oh, served on toast (the shingle part) 8) . Thanks for reminding me, might have to make up a batch soon.

Chuck, fine food. Haven't made that in quite a while. We make sausage gravy often. We also used to use dried beef, but have you priced it lately. I think burger would just as good. Yours sure looks good. CF :D
OK, get over it, you lost. God bless America

SOS with the sausage is one of my favorite comfort foods. Put some mac and cheese on the side and that is a big cause of my 300# disposition!

Hey... SOS must be a close relative of Loco-Moco a popular dish in Hawaii.

2 fried burger patties on a bed of steamed white rice, topped with 2 fried eggs (any style but scrambled) with brown gravy all over it!

Not my favorite but I have it once every leap year! 8)

a hui hou,

I liked it in the service, I liked it when I got out, and I still like it! Couple slices of toast and a load of SOS puts a smile on my face :D
