Been in Arkansas all week with my parents. Smoked an angus rib roast and ate at a good BBQ joint. So, I didn't feel like BBQ today. I had a pork butt defrosted, so I cubed it, added garlic, S&P, and oregeno. Put in some water and cooked for about an hour.
Some mexican rice, refried beans, tortillas, and we had a meal. It turned out really well. I will do this again.

Looks good to me! BTW: Don't tell anyone on the forum, but there are a lot of times that I don't want BBQ either... :shock:

I love carnitas!

I prefer the cubed style like you fixed but my wife likes hers Americanized (shredded) like the serve at Don Pablos.

Looks good to me, I'll take a pound or so :D

All the carnitas served in these parts have raisens of all things in 'em. Seems a little weird to me, but it does add a little sweet to 'em.

Rich - all I added was salt, pepper and oregano - all to taste.
The meat turned out real versatile - the wraps one day, breakfast burritos the next, and finally, on a bun to finish it off.
