Ok give us he verdict on Granny's Hush Puppies. Was they white or yeller cornmeal? Was they as good as Justeens? Enquiring minds need to know this kinda stuff. Ony time us po white small town Texas oil field trash was forced to eat sweet rice was for breakfast when it had rained all week and the paycheck wasn't too fat. Or dear old Daddy stopped off in the dawghouse to play poker after work..or maybe slip out to sip a few beers with his buds. Remember one Friday payday night he come home in the wee hours reeking of gin and cheap perfume with 10 bucks leftover for food and such things for the next week. Sweet rice makes me want to puke for some reason:)

The hushpuppies were great. Ive never used white corn meal in my life. Sweet rice is comfort food from back when I was a kid. Didn't mean to make you want to puke.
