Meat without Feet

Postby tex_toby » Wed Jan 24, 2024 11:12 am

In our quest to tighten up our waistlines, Mrs Tex and I have been trying to lay off of so much red meat around the house. It's an adjustment, but it's slowly working. I pan seared a few salmon filets in olive oil the other night since it was cold and wet outside. I always forget how good salmon is until I cook it again. Seasoned with SPG and it certainly hit the spot!

Cod is very good on the grill too, just suggesting. Poor man’s sea bass as I call it. I give a light rub of Old Bay and garlic lemon pepper plus a light drizzle of lemon pepper then about 20 mins on the grill. Great stuff and reasonably priced. Light and not oily, plus no lake bottom taste.

Bobby: "No."
Hank: "Well, there's really no wrong way to do it."
