Here you go, Sir !
Best to start with a 9" cast iron Skillet that has been seasoned

Wipe Crisco/Lard all over the inside of the Skillet

Put greased Skillet in the Oven and Pre-heat the Oven to 400 degrees
While Oven is Pre-heating prepare the Cornbread Mix as per instructions on the Pkg

When Oven and Skillet are Pre-heated, remove the Skillet and pour in the Mix
IMG_0015.JPG

Place Skillet and Mix in the Pre-heated Oven

Cook for 17 minutes at 400 degrees

After 17 minutes, take a look at the top of the Cornbread
and see if it's as done as you want it.

When the top is as toasted as you like then remove from Oven

Leave Cornbread in Skillet and then take a butter knife and slice it
into as many pie shaped pieced as you want.

just finished a pan of that and ate a wedge in a bowl of pintos..
sorry no pictures, but in my opinion that is the best cornbread one can make...
When we married my little queen only used the store-bought mixes now 42 years later, she just throws a 50- 50 mix of flour, cornmeal, some sugar, some bakin powder an egg and some milk together in a heated oiled skillet and bake at 375 till it is done and wala.. an excellent meal is served
sorry no pictures but my hunger is satisfied for a few hours 8)
