Last week I picked up some Crab and Shrimp Gumbo at "Hebert's Specialty Meats" but when I got ready to fix it, there was not a sign of any Roux existing in the Jar. So I decided to try my hand at some Scratch Roux and it came out good. This makes two times I've made roux lately and I hope that Practice really does make Perfect.

Nice plate!!! It’s always better when you make your own roux.

I've lived a good part of my life in the Haughton and Shreveport area. Both mine and my wife's family live in that area so when we go visit, "we go back home"OldUsedParts wrote:You from East of the Sabine
