One Pot Pasta
Today I wanted to do a one pot dish. In Remembering of my younger days at the camping site
It was definitely worth the time and the ingredients. I made it too spicy for the rest of my family, but so, I will have a perfect leftover tomorrow evening

Re: One Pot Pasta
Looks great and it would even pass for a Cajun/Creole Dish, if you just named it something like "One Pot PASTEAUX"

They seem to remind him of an old beer he once had, eh

Pictures like that put a tear in my eye. I'll bet that German beer was served at close to room temp. And I drank enough beer in Norway to sink the Russian Navy. And it cost me enough money to do it to pay for the Russian Navy.
I just got done cleaning my truck out. Found a couple of warm ones under my seat, made me smile. I left them, they'll do in a pinch.

After that Corona Madness, I´ll send a bavarian basic equipment to you.
Then you can do whatever you want with the poor beer. But do not tell me, that it wasn´t tasty

Re: One Pot Pasta
In 1516 kurfursten Kaiser Wilhelm of Bavaria implemented the purity law when brewing beer. The law states that you can only use malt, hops and water. It was implemented in Norway by law the 28rlth of June 1912. The idiots in the European union declared the law a hinder for free flow of goods and Norway was, as the last country in the world, forced to abandon the law the 1st of January 1994.GRailsback wrote:Rambo wrote:GRailsback wrote:Good lord that beer is beautiful. Most breweries here still brew after the purity law and are not using cheaper sources of starch like corn, rice or sugar. That makes beer of great quality and is very tasty. Cans and bottles are marked if they are not brewed according to the purity law. I guess it's the same in Germany which has a lot of great beer IMHO. Duesseldorf alt beer is among my favorites. Eating a Schweinshaxe and drinking alt beer in one of the breweries in Altstadt is awesome.

Interesting Joe. I enjoy beers from this brewery on Fredericksburg TX. I never really thought about where the name came from until your post:

Altstadt means old city and is usually the name of the historic part of German cities. I guess DaBerti can fill in on this.
