I just use plain’ol vegetable oil. Always have for my turkeys too. Seasoned these with Sucklebusters SPG. Heated oil to 350 and dropped them in. I fry my chickens at 5min/lb so these took right at 25 min. Crust and moisture was muy excellente! We heated the leftovers up tonight in the air fryer and they tasted like the just came out of the grease. As for Cornish hens, I’ve never done them like this, but we actually talked about it last night. Definitely going to give them a try!
