Biscuits and gravy

Postby Copasspupil » Sat Mar 02, 2019 9:28 am

So a buddy from work says how bout lunch and it’s 945 am. I’m like don’t you think it’s too early? 15 minutes later, we head to a place called Pacific Southern. The outside does not look so special, the menu looks very interesting. It has chicken and waffles, corn beef hash, chicken and biscuits and you typical omelettes and burgers. My eyes see biscuits and gravy cones with red skin potatoes and 2 eggs any way you want it. It’s what I decide on and let me tell you. When you are hungry, sometimes that food gets gobbled up quickly. This plate was not one of those. It forces you to eat slow and think. Think about exactly what you’re eating and let me tell you. I had to slow down to enjoy every chew on this plate. It was remarkable and memorable. Now I was not one that grew up on biscuits and gravy but it was one of the best meals ever. I savored every flavor and thought about it all day yesterday.

Something about Biscuits and Gravy, its one of those things that I could eat at midnight and then 6 a.m as well.

Glad you had a chance to enjoy that like you did

good score for "breakunch" biscuits and gravy was a rarity when I was growing up, I had to learn to make them on my own...

I’ve never made them but I don’t think. No matter
how many times I tried, it could never come close to those. It was remarkable.

I know I’ve been bargaining with myself since I woke up and I need to make sure the second time was just as good as the first round. Then after that, I’d have to go back just to make every one hit the bar.

Go easy on urself Russ, I'm sure that You cook and eat Alot of things that have us looking like were on Jeopardy

Biscuits and Gravy are big in the south and even on the east coast here, especially in Delaware.
Basically they are Buttermilk Biscuits with mixed up breakfast sausage pieces mixed with a flour and milk combination with Lots of pepper.
There are tons of versions. You should search some, I bet you would love it.
