Dual Cast Iron Tabletop Cooker
So we've been eating from our well stocked freezer for some time now. Full plate for a while with work and our home business, but tonight I was able to break in this dual burner that my bro got us for Christmas. I've seen it at Restaurant Depot in the past and said one day ill open my wallet for it.
No need to now, thanks big bro .
The build quality is top notch and once it heats up its pretty efficient. Great option for an extra cooking utility !

I don’t understand the purpose; is that sitting on top of your regular stove or is it s separate unit?

Its a completely separate unit.Rambo wrote:I don’t understand the purpose; is that sitting on top of your regular stove or is it s separate unit?
Basically, if you need another heat source in your kitchen you can plug it in.

Re: Dual Cast Iron Tabletop Cooker
what's really kewl about the unit is the cast iron flat top is even heat
the 1300 watt turbo on one burner is kewl too
and of course it's a portable table top unit for cooking on location
just remember that it's an 1800 watt unit - needs it's own 20amp breaker (2400watts max)
and the only extension cords that would work would be a 10~12 gauge no longer than 25'ft

I'm guessing you have one ?
Yeah, the turbo option gets that left burner to glow red so it heats up pretty quick.
I didn't know about the 20 amp breaker tho, so thank you for that.
I have one suggestion tho for the company that made this.... Give it some type of handle on both sides because once you use it, there is NO SAFE place to grab it until it cools off and as you know, Cast takes some time.
Its built real nice tho imho.

woody
get a full sheet pan to sit it on - 26"x 18"
that will catch any spills with 3" of drip area all around

Good tip CJCaptJack wrote:woody

I'm not sure how often I'll need to use it but I think I'll bring it in to work and have the Trailer Guys look at it and see if they can fabricate some kind of insulated handles for it and make it look like a factory design at the same time.
This hot plate is just too nice visually to just throw something together.
I figure if they can make complete dump truck bodies from scratch, they can come thru with some grab handles

I thought I was the Slick one on Christmas.
Last gift my brother opened was his 22" Black Stone.
After he opened it, he goes....
Oh, btw, this last box is yours...lol.
