Fresno chili peppers. Need help

Postby Copasspupil » Sun Sep 02, 2018 7:02 pm

What would you do with if you have about 25 of those buggers. Kind of at a loss for making something with them.

I'm pretty sure they'd become salsa @ my house.
They are like a mild jalapeno and should work anywhere you'd want a jap with a little less warmth.

I’m toying with an idea of a steak sauce like concoction even though I never put sauce on my steak. Just something different.

I've seen then grilled and tossed on a burger with some pepperjack cheese too. That only takes care of a portion of the problem though.

Depending on what type of pepper they are, you could use them in this Recipe that some of us here refer to as "Sooner Sauce" :salut:

Well these Fresno ones are suppose to be jalapeño cousins more or less heat range from 4-27k and I can contest to the range. Some are nothing well others bring a little more heat.

I might try the recipe but I think I’ll wet them on the grill first then grind them.

Well I am starting early today. In case you can’t see every one. I have two large sweet onions, 18 Fresno chili, 4 hobaneros, 10 Hungarians and 4 Serrano’s. I might have to add to it after but this is the base.

I appear to be done. The remains and the finish product. It’s definitely warm in my belly, good flavor and I like it.

I went to Costco and bought a few packs of them. We're good. I wish they had a plug for the opening.

I'll bet you that there's a solderless connector that would work for that :salut:
Use the smaller ones that don't have the spring inside and then drill it out to just under a loose fit :dont:
