Texas Salt Nut

Postby OldUsedParts » Fri Feb 23, 2018 10:06 am

One of my biggest bad habits is my love for Salt and, so far, I have gotten by with plenty of abuse of it.
Picked up some Texas Pecan Halves and Roasted them in margarine and salt for snacking and sipping with.
Only secret is you roast pecans just like you cook your reebz - - - Low and Slow. These were done in the oven at 225 for 90 minutes, stirring every 30 minutes. My next batch will be Jack Daniels Candied Pecans.

Toss them on the pit and introduce a little smoke. Looks good!
