I couldn't take it anymore !!!!

Postby woodenvisions » Thu Feb 22, 2018 8:05 pm

So.....,
I've been watching Egghead over the last few months post pics and info about H.E.B's Mexican Hot Chocolate Ice Cream and I accumulated more drool every time I saw another post.
I searched high and low up here in P.a & Jersey for any brand of it to no avail....

I broke down in crisis and searched some recipes. I finally picked an easy one, no ice cream maker needed and Best of all, 5 ingredients !!

In the Standard Kitchen Aid mixer, I added 2 cans Sweetened Condensed Milk, 4 packets of Hot Coco Mix, 1/2 tsp of Cayenne, 1/2 tsp of Cinnamon.

Mix on # 2 setting for 3 minutes, then SLOWLY add 1 Quart of Heavy Cream while still using # 2 speed. After it's all in, turn it up to # 7 for 5 minutes.

Scoop into a freezer proof container overnight and Enjoy.

Let me just say that this is BY FAR the Creamiest most delicious Ice Cream we've EVER HAD !!
Nice hint of heat in the end, Excellent Chocolate Spice balance.

Thanks for the motivation Egghead !!

I can't afford a ticket, but if OUP has a big enough suitcase I'm on the way too. I'm bringing the camera too so you can teach me how to use it.

Ice creeeeeeemmmm!

Looks great. WV, we still have a hand-crank Donvier that takes 20 minutes and very little work, the trouble being you have to keep the bowl in your freezer. It's been a while since we made anything in it!

Now, where are my cross-country skis?....
