This one is "Egg in a Hole". :dont:
I used to do these for my boys on weekends when I was home during breakfast time and they loved them.
Pretty simple you just cut a section from a piece of bread with a water glass or biscuit cutter then butter both sides of each piece. Put in a skillet to toast and after flipping the large section crack an egg into the hole. I found that finishing the cook with a lid helps cook the egg better since you won't be flipping it. I like mine to come out with a soft yeller for soppin.
Sides and topping are optional.

I used to call these "toad in a hole". We have them on our Sunday brunch menu and I have heard them called so many other names now. Lol! I love these! Great job, EM!!

:D :laughing7: :D :dont: don't know about perfect - - - all I do is butter both sides of the bread and when one side is toasted then I flip, crack in the egg and put a lid on to speed up the cook - - when I take it from the skillet, it is STILL jigglie when you shake it and toasted on the bottom side
