Yup, I did it! With the leftover dough from my soft pretzels, I had to see how some burger buns turn out. They look perfect for now. Seems a tad too crusty, but I've already devised a plan to combat that if they don't soften up enough.
Can't wait to try them out!

"Free time" is actually a rare occurrence. I'm either doing some R&D or working

Thank ya, sir! They've softened up a tad after a bit, thankfully. They're still not quite at the level I want them. I intend on steaming them a bit before use, which should soften them up quite nicely!

Re: Pretzel hamburger buns!
Txdragon,
I know first hand how good those are !!
U did AWESOME dude !
When I had the Hotdog biz back in the day, I started using pretzel rolls for hotdogs, they sold out like gangbusters !
I called the Duo the ( Sabretzelle )
I'd love to try one on a burger like yours, they look spectacular.
I think we might be sharing brainwaves, and that might be scary lol. I'm prepping our ( buns ) an unorthodoxed style tonight for a chill down overnight for some burgers tomorrow..
Nice job man :)

Re: Pretzel hamburger buns!
I used the fine china on this shot. Lol! However, here is the burger made using the rolls. Ground venison, mustard, onion, and pickle.
I put the buns in the microwave for about 30 seconds to soften them just a tad and it turned out perfect!

Muchas gracias, sir! We may be on the same wavelength here because after I ate my burger at lunch, I thought about a hot link with some stone ground mustard on a pretzel roll. Lol!

Yes yes, ur on to something..
If you can, look for the ( Sabrett ) brand Red Onion Sauce.
Use that on the pretzels roll with Sabrett's Brown Mustard.
I bet you will LOVE IT
