I would and will use that Recipe also EXCEPT I will leave out the candied fruit, dates and shriveled grapes. My love for fruit is right off of the tree or vine but after it's messed with/candied/etc "I'm Out" :dont:

Aww, thanks...

I get that in regards to candied fruit, we all have different tastes, and you can butter that notfruitcake to your heart's content...but this is the BEST candied orange peel I ever et, and it was so easy to make that next year, I'm candying my own pineapple.

Fruitcake is Love It, or Hate It. I'm on the Love It side.

Nice Job!!! Looks delish.

Yup, you heard it right lol.
A guy from work came in one day about 3 years ago and asked me if I wanted to try some. He had something that resembled a friutcake in this container.
Naturally, I was expecting a joke regarding Anything I answered with but he began to tell me it's big with the Brits and he found it in isle 8 at Wegmans down the road.

I didn't believe it was truly named that, so after work I ran there to see for myself....
Sure enough, Spotted Dick was right there on the shelf lol...

I’d think a penicillin shot would clear that up in no time :)
