Blackstone additions

Postby bsooner75 » Tue Sep 05, 2017 6:00 pm

Got tired of my Blackstone being under a tarp…plus some rodents paid it a visit back in the spring so I've been looking for a solution.

Finally settled on the stainless steel cover from Backyard Life Gear. They also offer a black starplate that would look cool but I want to use the top as a place to wrap meats and such when I'm smoking. Fits nicely even with the wrap around table. There are hanging hooks on the underside that can be used to hang it as a windblock if you aren't using the wrap around table.

Also ordered an extended for the grease trap. Helps get the grease a little further downstream instead of running down the side.

Both seem well built and shipping was very quick. They were also quick to respond with answers to questions. I think I am going to like it! We use the Blackstone way too much to not take care of it.

Thanks Russ - we probably average two meals a week cooked outside year round (love smoking in the snow when we get it). So it all gets used.

LOL OUP - should've asked about that option!

Cooking outside on a nice day is brilliant, I also try up to 2 times a week as well, in spring ATM, but summer not far away. Beer butts high on the list along with bbqs. Freezers full so bring on good weather.

Thanks for those pictures. Now I get to see what the blackstone is all about. I had it pictured differently in my mind. You get right down to it it is really a flat top for the back yard, huh? VERY nice toy. I can just imagine some Philly cheese steaks on that. I love them and have no solution other than a huge skillet. This would be perfect.

Exactly Outlaw…there are 3 or 4 (that I know) of us on TBBQF that own them. Search Blackstone on the forum and you'll find quite a few threads with cook pictures. It is a cooking machine!
