I got the CanCooker going…
We will see how she turns out.
3lb chuck roast w/ potatoes, corn and carrots.
Roast seasoned w/ meat church holy cow on top of veggies seasoned with Sucklebusters SPG. Shiner and beef broth for the liquid.
I should've got the bigger can. Had a hard time getting steam. I think it's because I had it packed so full. Smells good. Look for after shots coming up!

Actually, you can pack the snot out of that jr and get steam fairly quick.
Here's the trick...
Make sure you use the rack and keep the food off of the bottom. If ur food is on the bottom, it takes FOREVER to get the steam started.
Also, start off med/ hi heat not medium. As soon as it starts steaming go to medium heat and set timer for 40-50 minutes, that's the sweet spot.
Beer and or broth work great for liquid, be careful using soda, it tends to dissipate faster.
Another trick to find when it starts steaming ( sometimes it's hard to see the fine mist )....
Put a penny over the hole.
Its a 1 cent timer, u will hear and or see it move off the hole.
Viola !! Lol.

Thanks. I used the rack but I did find a lot of carrots and onions hiding under neath. The veggies was really good and the meat was pretty good. I think the chuck had to much connective tissue which made some of it kinda tough. All in all it was a good easy meal.
I'm going to start saving my brisket drippings to add to it for a little smoke flavor.
I would definitely tell people to season freely…I did and was glad.
Looking forward to trying some shrimp or corned beef and cabbage.
