Candied Bacon Deviled Eggs

Postby woodenvisions » Sun Jan 29, 2017 7:15 pm

So I ran across this recipe for deviled eggs that caught my eye. It involves cherry tomatoes, mayo, honey mustard, basil, paprika, chili powder and CANDIED BACON !!

I'll be making these very often in the future

They certainly look like they need to be devoured!

Well, I've never made or even had ( CANDIED BACON ) before.
I can't believe I've missed out that long.
Just mixed 1/4 cup Brown sugar, 1/2 cup of pure maple syrup, and 1/2 tsp cayenne pepper. Mixed it up, dredged the BACON across and baked it at 350 for 20 minutes, then 425 for another 10.

Just MAKE SURE you line a pan with foil and spray the foil as well.
I had no foil, so I'll be soaking the pan and breaking out the air chisel....grrrrrrr

These look like something I make, we call them curried eggs, similar to devilled ??? How close is this? Boil then take yolk out, mix bit butter and mayo and curry powder, mash then put back in white with nozzle gun, sprinkle smoked paprika on top. Bacon doesn't come into mine but I think they are similar.???
