No Man Card Needed!

Postby Sailor Kenshin » Wed Jan 18, 2017 1:15 pm

For I am not one! (Although, DH, AKA The Fire-Maker, is. And he didn't have to turn his in.)

Inspired by 'that' thread, we bought ourselves one of these

And proceeded to go to town experimenting with

Marinated chicken thighs

Shell steak

Chicken breast cutlets

And a breakfast pannini of ham 'n' cheez

Of all these, the steak was the trickiest, and it was admittedly overdone. But we liked the other 'experiments,' so for boneless chicken, grilled sams, maybe even burgers (which we haven't tried yet)...this will be the way to go if it's raining or windy or we got a foot of snow. So thanks to Williep for the inspiration!

The Foreman Grill performed better for us than I expected. Now, I'm interested in seeing how it does burgers.

Meanwhile, the snow is gone (for the moment) and it may hit 50 degrees here today. So I'll be grilling a steak outside.

I loved my Foreman grill! Steaks are tricky, just have to remember they are cooking from both sides, splitting your standard cook time in half will relieve much frustration.
