Gumbo Kind Of Day

Postby Williep » Sat Jan 07, 2017 6:44 am

Cold and wet outside so I decided on a pot of chicken gumbo.

Seasoned and cooked up some chicken.

Cooked the roux for about 45 minutes.

Added the onion, bell pepper, celery, minced garlic and sausage to the roux along with a little seasoning, cooked a few minutes and then added the chicken broth and let cook for an hour.

Chicken added and cooked for another hour.

Added the shrimp and cooked a few more minutes, put the stove on low till time to eat.

Time to eat.
