Ok so we have family up from Delaware and after the food coma last night with the Ribeye Cheese Steaks, I figured why not ?!?! Let's get some fresh sausage and smoked bacon from my butcher buddy and throw some breakfast on the griddle. Nothing better than hot coffee and the smell of some good breakfast grub on a brisk sunny mountain morning.
Grabbed 5 lbs of red taters, sliced and diced them with green peppers and Vadalia onions, salt ,pepper, seasonall and Whirl ( butter substitute ) which has a great buttery flavor. Griddled them up along with 1 lb of hickory smoked bacon, and a few lbs of pepper stuffed sausage links and a bunch of Apple stuffed sausage links !!..All just freshly made.
Grilled some bread and runny eggs and the rest is history...as in our bellies

the only griddle i have is a Lodge 14" round griddle that i usually use for a pizza stone on my OldSmokey
i also use it on my outdoor propane burner
i don't have a wok anymore, but i did save the lid, and use it on the griddle and in my 2- 12" skillets

Yes sir. It's like camping but getting to sleep in your own bed :)

How do those pans work out for keeping the food warm? Wondering if I need those in my arsenal?

CaptJack...

Were loving the Oscar The Grouch lid as well, holds the steam in perfectly.
I love the setup you have on the stove, looks like it was meant to be actually.
Nothing wrong with improvising ya know :)

Hey there Smoking Gun,

Appreciate the comment, we love this thing.
Really shines when there is a need to cook a lot of food at once.
You won't regret getting one of these, as I'm sure other members on here that have one will agree.

bsooner, u know the deal lol.

As for these pans, they worked great, I put burners on low and these pans stayed perfect temp for warming the grub. I originally bought these years ago when I was running a NYC style hot dog cart at a college campus. Sold LOTS of Sabrett hot dogs over the years in these pans.
Sold the cart but kept these pans and had a portable base water jetted to put these on and use sternos for fuel.

Nice looking breakfast !! I have a small black stone & love it - Just mainly use it for cooking breakfast on the back porch ! It cooks bacon & eggs perfectly , along with grilled onions & peppers ! I made my steam lid out of a medium size stainless bowl & works great. :texas:
