Ribs kiwi style

Postby Russ » Fri Aug 26, 2016 4:24 pm

I won some ribs in a raffle at the local last night. This is how I do mine. Cut them up and boiled them for 30 mins then put in a small pan with
My home made tomato sauce
Worcestershire sauce
Dry mustard
Brown sugar
Malt vinegar
Into oven 150 Celsius. Cook 1 hour and a half, turning often. Then near end add sesame seeds. These melt in the mouth and are yummy as. Would this work over your way.?

Up North here in :texas: Pork Bones MUST be cooked with heat and smoke derived from charcoal, wood or pellets - - - very LOOOOOOOW and SLOOOOOOOOW :texas: and seasoned with dry rub, maybe mustard, spritzed with apple juice or equiv and lathered with BBQ Sauce at the club house turn right before the Finish Line. :chef:

I wish I could find that "Booger Thread" that someone posted last year about THE BEST WAY TO COOK RIBS - - - - it was hilarious but HE has never been back :whiteflag:

Didn't know how to do ribs over it but I'm a learning. Watched a bit of myron last night on sky channel. He appears to be a legend there. The guy stump was funny.

You never stop learning my mum used to say. We have a few restaurants here that are called lone star after the texascstate. It's very popular, I've had their ribs and they are nowhere as good as mine. I'm gunna get some apple juice along with some other stuff. A couple of syringes as well . :happ: :happ:

hey Pard, remember that this type of cook will probably take the better part of 4 or 5 hours and your temps need to stay around 250F to 275F (that can vary depending on who's Q'n) - - I spritz every hour, wrap in foil after 2, continue cooking wrapped for 2 to 2.5 hours and then finish the last hour unwrapped after basting them with BBQ Sauce - - - - when they're ready to come off the grill, you can wrap and rest if you want to but that's your choice - - - NOW, having said all of that, there are many other ways and variations of that - - - when that meat pulls back from the tip of the bones then you know your'e on your way to "Larapin" :salut:
