Do you save your bacon grease and if you do , what do you save it in and where do you store it??
We save ours in an old grease can that my Grandma used. It's about 6" in diameter and 6" tall with a lid. Inside it has a mesh screen at the top of the can that you pour the grease thru to strain it. We clean the screen and put the lid on the can and keep it in the frig for later use.

Absolutely!!
I usually just strain mine into a coffee cup and then put into the fridge with some plastic wrap.
My grandma used to pop popcorn with bacon grease, and I grew up using it in cornbread too. YUM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Jim, my mom had one of those. It kind of looked like a coffee can. I've hunted for years but can't find one exactly like that.
I do save mine. I just put it in a coffee can in the refrigerator.

Well my mama saved it reliegiously. We also had several big coffee cans full of the stuff sitting on the stove and a couple mo in the cabinet just in case the others ran out. It never made it to the ice box dont seem like. Now the warden dont do it like that. Sometimes she makes gravy out of it for breakfast but otherwise it gets dumped in the trash.

I like bacon grease for some things. Grew up eating it. We don't eat enough bacon to save any grease. Mostly use vegatable oil. We do keep a small can of lard in the frig just in case. CF
OK, get over it, you lost. God bless America

bacon grease
You darn tootin' fig newton, I save all my bacon grease! I use it to mix in with dry dog food for my pups, they are sure looking good too, their coats are shiny& tongues are bright pink! I also use it to season green beans, I use it to make gravy for breakfast, it is used for bunches of things around my place! I do 99% of the cooking in my household, so I keep a quart pickle jar on the stove just to pour my bacon grease in!
God loves you & so do I, in the precious name of Jesus
