Thanks BW! I have heard of just washing them and putting them in the freezer whole, too, but have not tried it. A friend of mine said she did that last year. I think I'd rather have them peeled and quartered at least. lol

Well guess I am behind the times on preserving stuff. Used to be any kind of fresh veggie was deemed in need of blanching prior to long term freezing in order to kill the enzymes which would cause it to continue to ripen and deteriorate in quality while frozen. Guess tomaters dont suffer from this problemo for some reason.
