Hankering for a sausage too....

Postby Russ » Wed Oct 11, 2017 4:52 pm

Oup got me hanging out for a good sausage. I get my fave sausage from leeston butchery, they are a 30 min drive from me, but worth it, I've never had a better beef sausage ever. And this will be new to you guys??? We do what we call a dressed sausage. I will do picks as I do them, I cook a couple and slice in the middle, fill with mashed tatter, then tomato sauce on top with cheese, it's really good. Pics to follow. I bought 2 x 20 packs for $40.

Ready for cooking.

Giggle leeston butchery, it's a great award winning butcher shop. Great story behind it too. I've been going there for 15 years.

Yup same place, Chris the main man there was also on a TV programme we have here called lost, it's where they track down lost family. They tracked his family down from like 30 years ago. I think you have a similar programme called family fonder.?
These really are the best sausages around.

Yeah a slight twist, my daughter came for dinner with me a few nights ago, wife was out so just her and I and her wee boy. I did about 5 different things as a treat for her, her fave was a dressed sausage same as the pic I posted earlier, she said she had fond memories of going out with my mum about 30 years ago, and them both getting these sausages from a takeaway bar not far from here.
