Remembering the Chileman

With fall coming on and a bit of crisp in the air and thoughts of bacon and other cured meats, it's hard not to remember the Chilefarmer and his steady gentle presence on this blog for many years. Given the time of year, I thought it appropriate to both remember him, and repost his blog (still online) with his wisdom for all to share. The man could sure cook.

The name rings a bell, but must have missed this. How long ago did he pass? I read his blog, interesting guy by the sound of it. Sad I didn't get to converse with him?

Passed early summer. One of the longest members here. Consummate gentleman and friend to all. Only heard him angry once, during the infamous "Tampa Griller" incident several years ago when several of us were prepared to board a bus and settle things with "wigs on the green". You woulda liked him Russ, yer kinda guy.

Deaths always sad, thoughts n prayers for the Vegas people as well.

As an aside I just read your signature, gave me a good laugh. Like a meme I've got, this guy in it says, I was in this bar when someone screamed, does anyone know CPR, I yelled I know the whole alphabet, and we all laughed.....except this one guy.

I certainly miss the Chile man as well. I can say that a LOT of my experience is from his advice.
