Sausage Casings

I ran out of casings, went to our Mexican store and got some from them. Longest casings I have ever used, Most were about 8 feet. Just guessing.
Anyway, I ordered some of the pre-tubed casing from sausage maker. Never used pre-tubed before. Directions say to soak over night "OK" then it says to flush them. My question is how you gonna flush casings already on a tube. I was thinking it would make them easier to get on my stuffer tube. My understanding was all you had to do was slide on to your stuffer and pull the tube out. Thanks CF
