SB chili

Really bad weather today with rain most of the day before temperatures dropped below 28. Wanted something warming so made a pot of chili. Have some packages of SB Competition style chili in the kitchen drawer.

Pure and simple with nothing else added than ground meat, topped with a little sour cream and shredded cheese. Had a few slices of sourdough bread to soak up the liquids. Tastes so great and very warming.

This is so much better than what they sometimes serve for lunch at the job. They call it chili sin carne!! Can you call that a dish? No meat, but lots of strange stuff (veggies) in it. I always pass when it's is on the menu.ImageImageImage

THAT, Sir Joe, suggests that we go back to the Chuckwagon Joe Handle for you temporarily. :salut:
THAT Plate could be sitting on any Proud Texans table and raise no questions as to it's authenticity  :salut:  :chef: :wav:

Thanks, but I think SB is who to thank. Just followed their recipe. It's hard to get that wrong., unless your right hand is a bunch of carrots and your left is a bunch of radish. It's really good. Chuckwagon Joe is humbly accepted.

As mentioned above this is way better and in a different league than the hogwash they serve here, whether it's sin or con carne.

Cold and rainy here. Also perfect chili weather. But I gotta say I'd eat that even in the summer. Looks great! :salut:
