1st and 2nd chili cookoff in a long time!

Postby JaCK2U2 » Sun Jun 13, 2010 4:16 pm

Cooked Saturday, becasue it was in town, and I wanted to see some old friends. My wife and I both cooked Sunday - same reason. Had a great time! Think we may start doing chili again, because we sure had a good time with our old cooking friends! I got 11th Saturday (30 cooks) and Sunday, I got 4th and my wife got 3rd. It was worth it just to hand out with old friends!

you know Jack, I dont really care about winning, I just enjoy the whole experience of a cooking comp. We meet really good people and every body is very friendly and complementary and so quick to offer advice from their experience. Yes there is the occasional $*%#$head who thinks this is a serious life or death experience and his whole existence is based on winning but I just ignore those guys and continue to have a great time and drink my beer and have fun

That aint bad!

If the have the Camp Craig Allen chili cookoff again in Allen this fall, I am planning on entering. Will be my first chili comp.

I tasted alot of good chili last year but I think my is just as good as anything that I had there...
