I got a couple bottles of the 1836 rub primarily to use on brisket.
I haven't had a chance to use it yet. Just wondering if anyone here has tried it. :?:
I'm thinking about using it on Prime Rib.
Just wondering how the 1836 rub would compare to Gators SPG which is what I normally use on Prime Rib. :dont:

Bill the 1836 has a lot of half-cracked black pepper in it. So its similar to SPG, but has a much more robust black pepper flavor...perfect for prime rib.

Perfect !!!
Thanks Gator :salut:
I've been using SPG in combo with Montreal steak seasoning to give it more pepper.

Going to go with just 1836 for my Christmas Prime Rib this year.

Thanks
Bill
