Just finished making my batch, there will be an update Wednesday as I am taking it to work for a little chili cook off we're having there. I have 2 coworkers who love chili like I do and one who cooks comp chili so I will provide additional feedback. My initial comments resemble others, bold and flavorful with just a touch of heat. I really dig this mix, and would absolutely use this as a base like I have the other SB chili mix for my own chili. I like a lot of garlic in mine. Cant wait to see how it tastes after sitting for 2 days.
***update***
Well chili cook off flopped, they decided not to do it. Already had the chili at work so my buddies tried it and their sentiments were similar to mine.

Buddy 1: excellent chili flavor, more heat.

Buddy 2: perfect heat for him and loved the flavor.

I made this the other night and it is a home run. Very similar to my chili. It has a great bold chili flavor and just the right amount of heat for my family. I personally like mine with a little more heat. Great job Gator. I wouldn't change a thing. Thank you for the opportunity.

When will it be for sale and how much? I hope its less than Cindy Reeds. Have been buying hers for years but its just pricy

The Mrs said no more chili until we eat the stuff in freezer (half batch) so last night eat it we did. I made it with 3 different kinds of beans (a sin I know but when you're married...). Well the beans kicked in today. New meaning for the term motorboating. I sounded just like a two-stroke outboard for most of the morning. But I digress, Stage is set here for the next foray into chili goodness. I certify that I will make it soon and that I'll make it in accordence with said directions.

Howdy Everybody!

The final Competition Chili Kit is now shipping - IF you were one of the original taste testers, send me a PM with your mailing address. I'll ship out the final product to you, no charge.

We pumped up the heat on the final version, as suggested.

:)
