Sauces / Glazes Ideas?

Postby Gator » Thu May 03, 2012 3:59 pm

Hi folks -

Im working through ideas for a new line of glazes. The product would come in a bottle, just like my BBQ Sauce. It would be thicker, but still pourable.

Uses would include Glaze, dipping sauce, dessert toppers, serve over cream cheese...ect basically a very versatile sauce, BUT keeping it somewhat BBQ/Hot and Spicy related.

They will be all natural, no sugar added (using juice for a sweetener instead).

What I'm asking for is ideas (even wild ones) for flavors. Ive come up with a few ideas, looking to expand my possibilities. Then take the top 3 or 4 and start creating test batches.

So far, I have:
Peach
Strawberry
Blackberry
Strawberry
Raspberry Habanero
Jalapeno
Habanero
Strawberry Kiwi Jalapeno
Cranberry ???
Strawberry Rhubarb
> Looking for something good on hams
> Looking for something that is the flavor of the holidays, possibly with cranberry
> Looking for good glazes on ribs and chicken

Ok, anyone have any good ideas? :rose:

Thanks
Gator

Spent a little time in upper Michigan...got addicted to dried tart cherries. Add a little heat to it and you have a great glaze or ice cream topping.

Lingonberry. You'd have to import them from Norway, Finland or Sweden. Maybe Canada. Once ate some reindeer medalions with a Lingonberry sauce. In an Italian restaurant of all places. Heaven on a plate. How's that for wild -Artic style. :?:
