Sauces / Glazes Ideas?
Hi folks -
Im working through ideas for a new line of glazes. The product would come in a bottle, just like my BBQ Sauce. It would be thicker, but still pourable.
Uses would include Glaze, dipping sauce, dessert toppers, serve over cream cheese...ect basically a very versatile sauce, BUT keeping it somewhat BBQ/Hot and Spicy related.
They will be all natural, no sugar added (using juice for a sweetener instead).
What I'm asking for is ideas (even wild ones) for flavors. Ive come up with a few ideas, looking to expand my possibilities. Then take the top 3 or 4 and start creating test batches.
So far, I have:
Peach
Strawberry
Blackberry
Strawberry
Raspberry Habanero
Jalapeno
Habanero
Strawberry Kiwi Jalapeno
Cranberry ???
Strawberry Rhubarb
> Looking for something good on hams
> Looking for something that is the flavor of the holidays, possibly with cranberry
> Looking for good glazes on ribs and chicken
Ok, anyone have any good ideas?
Thanks

Sounds like some of the ideas will taste good over Blue Bell Homemade Vanilla ice cream.

Spent a little time in upper Michigan...got addicted to dried tart cherries. Add a little heat to it and you have a great glaze or ice cream topping.

Lingonberry. You'd have to import them from Norway, Finland or Sweden. Maybe Canada. Once ate some reindeer medalions with a Lingonberry sauce. In an Italian restaurant of all places. Heaven on a plate. How's that for wild -Artic style.
