SuckleBusters Sweet-N-Spicy Gold BBQ Sauce - Test Results

Postby Gator » Tue Apr 03, 2012 6:13 pm

Hi folks - the test bottles shipped today, some may receive them tomorrow.
- This is a MUSTARD based sauce, expect a strong mustard flavor.
- It is a spicy sauce, not inferno, but spicy.
- Our sauce is sweet.
- We call it BBQ sauce, but it also works well used as a spicy mustard.

I'm looking for direct, honest feedback - positive or negative:

Try the finger test + BBQed meat. So far we have have tested it on turkey, pulled pork, ribs, chicken, hot dogs, fish, samiches and roasted potatoes.
-> Do you like it?
-> Is it the right sweetness?
-> Does it have the right amount of tanginess?
-> Is the heat level right?
-> Does it have the right flavor profile?
-> What meat did you test it on?
-> Any suggestions?

Most of all. thanks I appreciate the feedback!
Gator

Thanks Gator, I am doing a comp practice run this weekend and I will be using on some ribs and mixing with some SB sauce.
I have been using Texas Pete Honey Mustard Sauce, which is really good but I do like the golden color of your sauce, can't wait.

Mine showed up today. First thing I did was open it and smelled it. The smell was good, vinegar and mustard. Stuck a finger in it and tasted. Holy Crap, I had to stick my finger all the in the bottle. I like, the sweet hit me first with a mild heat that built around the sweet (guessing honey) taste. For my own use, I would add more heat. But that is just me.
I'm smoking two hams this weekend, and thinking of using this as a base on one of the hams.
So far, I like it.

Thank You :cheers: :cheers: :cheers: :cheers: :cheers:

Got mine today as well. Smells really good, finger taste was so good I had to try it a couple more times. I really like the mustard tang. Have a small comp next weekend and will try this out then. Gonna try it on shoulder and some bird and will offer samples to the other cooks.

You want responses via PM or post them in this thread?

And thanks for the sample.
