Which SB rub for Goat?

Postby Gomer76825 » Sat Jun 26, 2010 1:28 pm

Probaly a good question for Gator, just wondering if anyone had any input on which of the SB rubs would be best on comp goat. Just curious, think I will order the sample packet and do a lil research, be a good excuse to fire up the ol Pit.

Heat wise the comp rub is the tamest, with Hoochie packing a punch. Hogwaller runs in the middle. Never done a whole goat (but was asked about doing one yesterday) so can't be of much more help.

I haven't found anything that I didn't like with Hoochie Mama rub.
Well almost, I do like hog waller on pork and chicken. CF :D

I would suggest Hoochie or Comp Rub...let us know how it turns out!

Thanks for the input. I went ahead and ordered the sampler packets, so I will take them for a test run and see how they turn out. Really excited to try SB after all the rave reviews on here.

Comp rub was awsome on the goat, and the hoocie mama worked great on the pork and axis ribs. Thanks again Gator.

Excellent - we'll add goat to the "tested meats".

Awsome, yes it was tested and passed with flying colors. Best part of 3 goats cooked and nothing left but the bones. LOL
