Hot peppers

Postby kevin » Wed Sep 10, 2008 11:00 am

Has anyone smoked Jalipino or Habinero peppers?
I was going to do a brisket this weekend and was going to try smoking some hot peppers at the same time.
Ideas or recipies.

Yep one time I decided to make chipotles so I bought a bunch of japs and smoked them and smoked them etc. and etc. they took a loooong time to dry. Then I check 'em and no heat at all. Turns out after all that I had bought A&M japs, threw them away.

If smoking them as a side just throw em in the pit until they release thier oils and slightly char. If your trying to dry them thats a different matter due to the humidity factor in most offset pits.
