Does anyone have any suggestions for grilling or smoking a whole artichoke?
I envision something that may have a marinade or sauce drizzeled inside.

I have seen them done to where you just separate the leaves a bit, fanning them out, drizzle evoo in them and grill. I would say you could use your imagination. Stuff some pork, or cooked sausage inbetween the leaves, some feta or fontina cheeses in there, etc. Giada, on FN, has some nice recipes for artichokes, whole and cut.
