Lawn Gyland - SOS

Postby OldUsedParts » Thu Aug 02, 2018 1:06 pm

Hey Youze Guys, I had every intention of picking up some Collards today but there was this beautiful bunch of Swiss Chard that would let go of my eyesight so I bit the Bullet and brought it home. NOW, I need a good Recipe for tomorrow so I can use it as a side to some Shrimp En Brouchette (pronounced "Ah'n Brewshet")

Don't that Purdy :?: :D

When all else fails Search and Ye Shall Find - - - which is what I did and I found Sailor's brief recipe.
So with a tad bit of tweeking, "I'm biting the Chard Bullet"

"Even an old blind Hawg finds an acorn now and then" and now I am hooked on Swiss Chard. I tweeked Sailor's Recipe from an earlier post and really liked what I ended up with. I used the cut off bacon pieces rendered down for the sautee oil/grease but I added jalapeno, sweet peppers, green own-yawn, Suckle Busters SPG and Wishbone Roasted Pepper EVOO. Also added just a little whole kernel corn right before it was done.

After about 5 days at the deer camp I had a guy ask me: " Rambo, do you ever eat anything green?" After thinking a bit I said, Yep, I like Green Beans. :laughing7:

I strip, the centre spine out, then I cook either in butter or steamed. I love it.
