Postby copkid » Tue Sep 18, 2007 11:08 am

Dear hubby says he likes Greek food! I've been married to this man for almost 20 years and he has never mentioned liking Greek food!!
Any good ideas or recipes?

Check this out:
http://www.ncre.biz/DATsBBQ/CookLogs/07 ... fLamb.html

For the salad mix up some sliced cukes, Greek olives, and tomatoes in a olive oil vinegarette. Add some crumbled feta cheese.

Stuff pita with sliced/chopped lamb, add some cool cuke dressing* and serve the salad on the side. A little Taboli (a wheat salad available in a box, add water) is a nice touch too.

Baklava for desert (available in the bakery section of most supermarkets)

leg of lamb is easy and good. you can get a boneless one and cube it up and make kabobs or wrap in flat or pita bread. There are some good cucumber/yogurt sauces that are popular. Go to food network site and plug in leg of lamb and see what pops up, I'm sure there's plenty there!

I put a recipe for Shrimp w/Feta cheese served on Orzo in the Seafood recipe section. :D It is quick and easy to cook and tastes great. :D :D
