Re: Playoffs n Superbowl Coming Any New appetizers
going to be a little different this year, started a version of a pale diet last month so i have to do it without carbs or sugars so that leaves breads, breadings, a lot of sauces and potatoes off the table.
I'll be marinating wings in my fajita marinade (extra chipotle peppers to give them more bite) over night and doing them on the grill at 300 till done.
Marinade
8 cloves of Garlic (minimum, I use a lot.)
2 Tbsp of Worcesterhire sauce
1 Tbsp red wine vinegar
1 Tbsp of Kosher salt.
1 Tbsp red chili powder
Juice of 1 lime (minimum)
2 tsp of fresh ground pepper
1Tbsp of ground cumin (minimum, I use a lot)
2 tsp of onion powder
Cilantro, chopped. To taste, I use at least ½ -3/4 of a bunch.
¼ cup of of olive oil
3 tsp of red chili sauce
2-4 minced Chipolte peppers. Usually stores carry this pepper canned in an Adobo sauce.
Deviled eggs-will make some homemade mayo with olive oil and combine with the yolks, some avocado and a bit of pico de gallo. dust em with smoked paprika to finish.
some bacon wrapped venison meatballs. I'll keep these pretty simple-mix the ground venison with egg, black pepper, minced onion, a little ginger and some tamari (a thicker type of soy sauce and the only one that works with my diet), wrap with bacon and do them on the grill with the wings. I think i'll make reduction of the tamari and a little rice vinegar for a dipping sauce for the these.
Hoping to have time to make the stuffed olives (i think it was your recipe from another thread) too
And the ever-present pot of Chili on the stove (no beans-bad starch)
Could do more, and have done much more in the past (last years fried morel mushroom and fried green beans still get asked for) but i end up missing too much of the game so this year it's gonna be heat and eat. Unless i find something really good sounding.

Re: Playoffs n Superbowl Coming Any New appetizers
Don't know if this is new but Iam going to try a recipe I found in the local paper.
Cheesy Spinach and Bacon
1pkg. (10 oz.) frozen chopped spinach, thawed, drained
1lb. (16 oz.) VELVEETA, cut into 1/2-inch cubes
4oz. Philly Cream Cheese, cubed
1can ROTEL Diced Tomatoes & Green Chilies, undrained
8slices cooked bacon, crumbled
MICROWAVE ingredients in microwaveable bowl on HIGH 5 min. or until VELVEETA is completely melted and mixture is well blended, stirring after 3 m.USE YOUR SLOW COOKERWhen serving this dip at a party, pour the prepared dip into a small slow cooker set on Low. This will keep the dip warm and at the ideal consistency for several hours. For best results, stir the dip occasionally to prevent hot spots. from Kraft Foods
I will also be making some chili as well, my o my frito pie
