My MIL used to leave the neck in the bird when roasting and she would put it aside for snack the next day - one of her favorite parts. Sure do miss her - outstanding Cajun cook.

I think I would put them in a brine over night and simply dust with your favorite rub and put them on the grill indirect with a light dose of smoke. Worst case if they don't come out to where you like them, you could make some stock with them.

We just olive oil it, season it and smoke along side like you were doing riblets. Not much meat but what's there is tasty.

Looks like six pf them in the package. I am guessing it just for the two of us I can not imagine our little ones eating them.

I recently read where they are good for catching crabs. Tie a line to the neck, dip off the pier to the sea floor. Wait for crab, gently raise line. When crab is near the surface place net under crab. When crab is lifted out the water it'll release the net and fall into the net.

Repeat.

Can't wait to try it. 8)

As stated by others, not much to eat.

However, great to boil them for soups, gravies and stock broth!

We did a lot of that when we were kids with just about any poultry scraps. Population of blue crabs seems to have dwindled since those days.

Last time I was in Galveston, there was a guy on the beach crabbing and he showed me how to do it. Easiest thing I've ever seen. That said, I couldn't ever figure out how to clean the little guys. :?
