Peanut Butter Pie - "Oh My" !

Postby OldUsedParts » Sun Jun 18, 2017 2:27 pm

I wasn't following the yeller brick road but I was following 88's PBP recipe and it's now in the frig for a 2 or 3 hour nap. WHEW, I think I need a nap also after "hand mixing" that peanut butter, cream chez, cool whip and powdered sugah. Two things I might mention here is, even tho I am purdy disciplined in doing my nightly one arm curls with my hand weights, I plumb gave out trying to stir all the ingredients together as purdy as Rocket did but that shouldn't bother the muchin at all. Another thing I should mention is ?if and when? Y'all ever get ready to do this, please know that when energetically stirring pb, cc, cw and "powdered sugar" together you should probably be neekid from the waist up - - - BUT no matter what "DON'T" wear a black teeshirt. :whiteflag: I licked the bowl clean and realized that "this Pie may never see Monday Morning" :whiteflag:

:D :D :D :D :D
I know exactly how you feel with that black shirt comment!
I use a mixer and the first time I've ever made it I blew the kitchen up!
I never get to lick the bowl or spoon though because my 6 year old devours it before I get a chance.

I hope you enjoy it as much as we do!

Love peanut butter but never tried in a pie. Might have to ponder on this for a while. Looks good though.

Man, that recipe is just screamin out for a tablespoon of good bourbon mixed into the PB. Would loosin it up a bit fer mixing too. I had heard of boiled peanut pie from Alabama before, this must be the same.

Good lookin effort!!

I am still a sucker fer sweet tater chocolate pie... I think Independence Day has a new goal.
