Two Chili Cookie recipes

Sorry guys I posted this in the wrong place the first time, so will post it in the right category and maybe I can delete the other one or administrator's will. :roll:

Cinnamon Chili Cookies

1 stick 4 ozs. butter unsalted
4 ozs. good quality chocolate unsweetened coarsely chopped
1 cc. packed light brown sugar
1/2 c. granulated sugar
2 tsps. pure vanilla extract
2 large eggs
1 cu. all purpose flour
1/2 c. unsweetened cocoa powder
1 T. gr. cinnamon
1 tsp. chili powder
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. kosher salt
1/4 tsp. cayenne pepper
1 c. chocolate chips semisweet

Preheat oven 325 ° F.
Use a heat type bowl over simmering water in a pot- melt ñ whisk butter ñ chocolate together till glossy ñ smooth or melt in micro every 25 seconds whisk. Cool to room temperature. Another bowl beat brown sugar granulated sugar vanilla extract ñ eggs low speed till well mixed. Add in cooled chocolate - mix well. Now sift together flour- cocoa powder- cinnamon- chili powder- baking soda- salt ñ cayenne ñ add chocolate batter mix on low speed just till combined ñ no flour shows thru. Fold in chocolate chips. Using ice spring ice cream scoop make balls of dough- about 1½ tablespoon size onto baking sheet lined with -leaving 1½” inches of space between each cookie. Bake cookies one pan at a time about 14 minutes-rotating pan halfway through cooking time. Cookies will be puffy ñ fairly soft when removed from oven. Immediately slide still on the parchment paper the cookies- onto a wire cooling rack. Cool Stored in airtight container.

~Sweet ñ Spicy Cookies

1 c. margarine soft
1 c. brown sugar
1/2 c. white sugar
2 tsps. vanilla
2 eggs
2¼ c. flour
1 tsp baking soda
1/8 to 1/2 tsp. cayenne pepper UR choice
2 c. chocolate chips milk choc or semi sweet
1 to 4 jalapeño diced fine no seeds

Preheat oven 375 ° F.
Using large bowl - add margarine with sugars - vanilla ñ eggs - beat till mixture is real fluffy. Add flour - baking soda - finish stirring dough with a spoon.
Fold in chocolate chips ñ diced jalapeño’s. Clean up is easier – with lining cookie sheets with parchment paper first..
Drop by heaping teaspoons on an ungreased cookie sheet.
Bake 10 to 12 minutes. Let cookies cool.
Great with cold milk or hot coffee.
A mistake is sometimes a great creation
