Mines pretty well liked here, simple
Cabbage thinly sliced 1/2 whole one
1 large onion finely chopped
Grated fine carrot
Then I mix in a bit of bests mayo and the secret addition is a squirt of cocktail sauce, it tends to sweeten it up a bit. People always ask what's in my slaw. I don't normally tell them the cocktail sauce.

You guys do it different?

Re: My take on slaw
In addition to yours I add a little sour cream, rice vinegar and a dash of mustard. Never tried the cocktail sauce. Sounds good though.

some times I'll put a very small pinch of sugar in my slaw just to make the Wiffy happy

Re: My take on slaw
Ok, just made slaw, got friends coming for a meal later. Made the slaw, added dash mustard and a bit of sugar, for oups wife, lol.
Added a wee bit of celery, mainly because I love it, and I picked it fresh from wife's garden.

Re: My take on slaw
We make texas two step slaw. It's not mayo based and is the only kind we make anymore. It's gotten so popular that Pillsbury posted the recipe. It's amazing on a pulled pork slider.

Re: My take on slaw
Thanks for the share, that's completely different to mine, but I'm going to try it next time. I also watched a programme with a slaw that had fine slices of green apple skin on.

Re: My take on slaw
I think that Cole Slaw is like Tater Salad - - - - there are so many different taste buds out there and so many different recipes that it's almost impossible to fix it for more than a few folks and even be close to successful
