cornbread dressing

Postby cowboy45 » Tue Dec 21, 2010 1:35 pm

Has anyone tried green chiles in their cornbread dressing? I have been thinking about it and I also ran across a recipe with chiles and chorizo. I've used oysters before and it was pretty rich. I'll make regular for the most part and a smaller pan for the new one to see how it goes.

it's good, but just does not seem to "go" with the meal (that we serve).

green chili's are in my go-to cornbread recipe, so i have to read the bag this time of year to get it done with out...

I use japs in my cornbread. I was planning on cooking plain cornbread and mixing the chillies and chorizo into the dressing. It will go with my turkey as I rub with cumin, garlic and onion powder under the skin. I have used oysters in the dressing before and it was great, but a little rich. I plan on doing two pans. One regular and the other experimental. Any help is appreciated.

We use bell peppers, no green chilies.
