Cajun Shrimp

Postby Brandon Schick » Tue Oct 21, 2008 6:14 pm

This is a pretty spicy shrimp recipe :

I take 2 pounds of peeled and veined shrimp and 1/2 the marinade listed below and place in a large zip lock bag and let marinade in the fridge for at least 2 hous. I put the shrimp on skewers and grill. While grilling I baste the shrimp with the rest of the marinade.

Hope you like it !!

3/4 cups vegetable oil
1/2 medium onion diced
2 Tbls. cajun seasoning (Ive been using Tony Sacheres)
6 garlic cloves (minced)
2 Tbls. ground cumin
1 Tsp. rosemary
1 Tsp. thyme

Mix and blend.

Hmmm think somebody forgot the vinegar for this recipe and it gonna take a yankee or some kinda Eyetalian to appreciate all them large quanties of aromatic spices. Don't mind if I tweak it a bit do ya? Thanks.

Consider the thyme and rosemary as veggies -
