I had fish tacos at a restaurant once , swore I would never again.
Well, once my wife started talking about it, sounded pretty good and worth another try.
Fried up some Talapia and placed on a tortilla shell (to me the crunchiness of the fried fish made it)
Added on some homemade pico di gallo consisting of red onions, tomatoes, avacado, jalepenos, and a little garlic.
Topped with cheese
and enjoyed with a home made bottle of Sauvignon Blanc
The thin Tilapia that can be folded right in your tortilla makes a nice choice of fish to use.

Mike, I am like you. Tried the tacos in a restaurant once, never again. But I must say yours sure look good. Maybe frying is the answer. CF
OK, get over it, you lost. God bless America

I'm the only one around here that'll eat them. I haven't used talipia - sounds good. Got to give that a try. Yours looked good.

Hey James... nice score on the Mahimahi One of the better eating fishes in Hawaii. Caught them all the time off the islands.
Interested in how you prepare them in a smoker.
I picked up a bottle of Hawaiian style rub, tried it on grilled steak and porkchops and we liked it. Also seasoned a rack of reebs and bbq'd them in my practice run last weekend. The taste was there but it didn't look as good as the ones you guys and gals post. I tried to keep the "Kila Imu" at 200 to 225. Is that too low?
a hui hou a malama pono,
