Wouldn't grilling it kill any salmonella just as easily if not more so? Boiling water is 212F, your grill is (should be) hotter.

Re: Boiling Chicken?
I'm not sure who should be strung up first ... the person wanting to boil the chicken, or the one rehashing a 2009 post in 2012.

I don't get the chance to get around here to much these days and I hate to leave a question unanswered.

Re: Boiling Chicken?
I think there is also the aspect that there are about 3 or 4 blog topics out there that are so significant they get re-hashed a lot. This one because everybody finds it so humorous (the notion of barbecuing a boiled chicken being so absurd on its face), the others because they tend to be controversial and argumentative in a friendly way. For example the Moppers Vs the Non-Moppers, the Purists vs the Injectors, Saucers vs Non-Saucers vs the Flying Saucers (KCBS members from San Francisco). Much of what we talk about is a friendly argument amongst friends, because we all share a passion for the highest form of edible art, barbecue. For my part, quoting the line from a movie, I'd rather be here with you people tonight, than with the finest people in the world.
