Golden chicken?

Postby nascarchuck » Tue Dec 18, 2007 1:59 pm

I bought some big ol skin on, bone in chicken breast (I normally do skinless, boneless) and was gonna grill them tonight.

How can I get that good looking golden brown color on the breasts?

How about smoking them? Would that be any good?

I'd cook them indirect and then the last few minutes cook them direct to crisp up the skin and get that golden color. :D :D

Well since you doing them tonight it too late to give you any good advice. Try not to wait till the last minute next time. First step is refuse to buy chicken parts. I know parts is parts..but the lowest I ever sink is splits. It pays off in the long run to be snobbish on chicken. Breastes do not play well alone. It gives em scitzophrenia or sumthing. Sorta like leaving a dawg home alone all day. They chew up the carpet and stuff like that.
